Officials dealing with bed bugs at one Laurel County school

Posted: Thu 9:11 AM, Jan 26, 2012

Officials at one Laurel County school are battling bed bugs.

The Corbin Times Tribune reports the insects were found at Hunter Hills Elementary in late December.

Interim superintendent Ronald Fentress told the paper a letter was sent home with the students warning them about the problem.

Fentress says the incidents with the bugs are isolated and the school is carefully cleaning those areas.
