A man is dead following a fire at his home in Louisa.
Lawrence County Coroner Mike Wilson tells our sister station WSAZ the fire broke out about 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the man's home along Blaine Creek Road.
Wilson says the man was working in the garage when the fire started. His body was found about two feet from the door.
The man's daughter and grandchildren were home at the time of the fire and made it out okay.
Wilson says the man was burnt so badly that dental records are needed to identify him.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the State Fire Marshal.
Wilson says foul play is not suspected in this case but no cause of death has been determined.
The body has been sent to the medical examiner's office in Frankfort for an autopsy. A preliminary report is expected to be released Monday.
