Officials investigating large fire in Lee County, Virginia

Officials in Southwest Virginia are investigating what started a fire that put several homes in danger.

Police in Lee County say the fire started Wednesday morning, probably by someone trying to get rid of unwanted growth.

It quickly spread, burning 200 acres and got close to two homes and several other structures off Hickory Hill Road.

No one was injured.

As of Wednesday night, about 30 percent of the fire was contained.
