Officials say praise of new ACT assessment doesn't mean they will purchase them

Top state education officials might be praising new act assessments, but that doesn't mean they will fork out millions to buy them.

Kentucky Education Commissioner Terry Holliday says even though he was quoted in ACT's promotional press release, that doesn't mean the state already planned to purchase the new assessments.

Kentucky spends more than a million dollars each year on standardized tests from ACT.
