LOGAN COUNTY, W.Va. (WYMT/WSAZ) - A Columbus, Ohio, man was arrested Tuesday near Logan on drug charges involving crack cocaine, cocaine and painkillers, according to the Logan County Sheriff's Department.

Dominique Lee Simmons, 23, was charged with possession of crack cocaine with intent to deliver.

Sheriff's deputies and Drug Task Force members searched an apartment along Auburn Avenue, also known as City View. A search warrant was obtained after an undercover drug buy within 48 hours of Simmons' arrest.

Deputies say Simmons had nearly $950 cash on him. Officers also seized crack and powder cocaine, digital scales and a loaded handgun inside the apartment.

Simmons was taken to the Southwestern Regional Jail. Bond was set at $10,000 cash only.
