Ohio authorities say 4 hurt in small plane crash

LEBANON, Ohio (AP) - State Highway Patrol dispatchers say four
people on board a small plane were hurt when it crashed in
southwest Ohio.

The patrol says the Piper 28 went down shortly after 4 p.m.
Wednesday near Lebanon in Warren County, about 30 miles north of
Cincinnati. A fire at the crash scene was extinguished.

Dispatchers say initial reports indicated one person with
serious injuries was flown to a hospital by helicopter and three
more with minor injuries were taken by ambulance.

The plane crashed near some homes but there were no reports of
injuries to anyone on the ground.

Investigators were trying to determine whether the plane had
taken off or was trying to land at the nearby Lebanon-Warren County
Airport.

Airport officials had no immediate comment.
