An Ohio man is sentenced to twenty years in prison after pleading guilty to charges connected to a deadly traffic accident.
Police say 27 year-old Matthew Merriman was under the influence when he hit a curb and flipped on Highway 522 in Harlan County back in April.
His girlfriend, 50 year-old Janie Simpson of Loyall, was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the car.
She died almost instantly.
Merriman was sentenced on five different charges, including second degree manslaughter.
