BELL COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - One man was injured in a shooting in Bell County on Wednesday night.

Bell County Sheriff's Deputies say 36-year-old Clinton Stanley went to Middlesboro ARH and was flown to UK hospital.

The shooting happened in the Beans Fork area.

Deputies say Stanley was outside 66-year-old Jack Overbay's home yelling threats to Overbay and kept coming towards the home. Deputies say Overbay shot Stanley several times.

"Told Mr. Stanley he had one more chance to leave. He said Mr. Stanley pulled his arm from behind his back and had what he thought was a pistol and that's when he fired several shots at Mr. Stanley, striking him," said Deputy Joel Quillen.

Deputies say Stanley did not have a gun.

They say no charges have been filed.
