New information is released in a deadly two car crash in the Fedscreek community on Saturday.
Police say just before 2 o'clock in the afternoon, Barry Shortridge, was traveling West on US 460 when his vehicle ran off the right shoulder of the roadway making contact with the guardrail.
Officials say Shortridge then over corrected his vehicle crossing the center line and into the eastbound lane where he struck another vehicle.
That vehicle was driven by 49-year-old, Terry Sawyers. Police say Sawyers was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger in Sawyer's vehicle was transported to Pikeville Medical Center for their injuries.
Shortridge was arrested for Driving Under the Influence 1st Offense, and Leaving the Scene of an Accident.
Shortridge is being held in the Pike County Detention Center.
The accident remains under investigation by Kentucky State Police.

One man is dead following a two car accident this weekend in Pike County.
The Pike County Coroner says 49 year old Terry Sawyers died on U.S. 460 near Mouthcard Saturday afternoon.
Officials also say he was pinned in the car.
His wife was injured and taken to the hospital, but has since been released.
Sawyers was sent to Frankfort for an autopsy.
