One airlifted after Estill County crash

One person had to be flown to the hospital, after a crash on a busy central Kentucky road.

It happened around 7:30 Monday night on Highway 52 in Estill County, a few miles west of Irvine.

Police say a Jeep Cherokee slammed into the back of a truck that had slowed down to turn off the road. Three people were injured. 27 Newsfirst is told one person was airlifted to UK Hospital with serious injuries. The other two were taken to a hospital in Irvine.
