One man is in jail following a fatal accident in Floyd County.
Police say they got a call around six Tuesday night of a hit and run accident on Highway 979 in the Ligon community.
We're told 37 year old Malen Mitchell of Beaver was traveling north on 979 when he crossed the center line and hit another car, driven by 50 year old Judith Blankenship, also from Beaver.
Blankenship's car then crossed into the northbound lane, hitting another car driven by 29 year old Jennifer Newsome of Wheelwright.
A passenger in Blankenship's car, 22 year old Tiffany Adams Blankenship, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say Mitchell left the scene, but was later found.
He was arrested and charged with Murder, Driving Under the Influence, his third offense, Driving on a Suspended License and Leaving the Scene of an Accident.
He is being held in the Floyd County detention center.
No word if Judith Blankenship or Newsome were injured in the accident.
