One of Eastern Kentucky's leading advocates for education has died.
Homer L. Hall of Hueysville died this week at Pikeville Medical Center after a battle with cancer.
Hall was the director of the Floyd County Library for more than two decades and helped usher the facility into the technological age by providing internet access to the public. He was also in charge of a renovation that included a new children's and technology area as well as expanding service into the southern part of Floyd County.
Hall's visitation will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Hall Brothers Funeral Home in Martin. Funeral services will be held at Hall Brothers Monday at 2pm.
Homer Hall was 78 years old.
