It's been almost exactly one week since this town was experiencing the force of an EF 3 tornado.
The devastation it left behind will not soon be forgotten but this county is well on their way to rebuilding an even better city than before.
It came and went in a matter of seconds. Leaving behind a trail of leveled homes uprooted trees and lives that will never be the same.
But while this town only closely resembles what is did before the tornado, one week later progress has been made.
Already you can see a green yard and signs put back up at the ole courthouse but this progress has not come without a few setbacks.
Despite Mother Nature’s unpredictability people are cleaning up and clearing out making way for the future.
While the future is uncertain there is an air hope in the air.
It's hard to believe how far this county has come.
Morgan County Judge Executive Tom Conley said that just as the sun is shining bright today so does Morgan County’s future.
