MADISONVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Former Alaska Gov. and 2008 vice
presidential candidate Sarah Palin is weighing in on Kentucky's
race for attorney general.
Republican Todd P'Pool said in a news release Friday that Palin
is endorsing him in his race against Democrat incumbent Jack
Conway.
P'Pool, in his second term as Hopkins County attorney in western
Kentucky, has also been endorsed by U.S. Sen. Rand Paul, who
defeated Conway last year in a bitter campaign and was also backed
by Palin.
P'Pool said he was honored by her support.
Kentucky's general election will be held Tuesday.
Conway spokeswoman Allison Haley says his campaign is confident
it will get the endorsement of Kentucky voters.
