Pedestrian killed on Highway 15

HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) Police say a pedestrian that was hit by a vehicle along Highway 15 Friday night died at the Hazard ARH.

It happened near the Daniel Boone Motor Inn in Perry County around 9:40pm.

State Police say 57 year old Thomas Wesley Hall of Hazard was walking from Food City to Daniel Boone Motor.

While trying to cross the road, he was hit by a vehicle driven by Ricky J. Campbell of Bonnyman.

Campbell and his two passengers were not hurt.

No charges have been filed.

Officials believ alcohol could have been the reason Hall walked out into the road.

The accident forced crews to close the roadway Friday night so police could reconstruct the accident.
