A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for Eastern Kentucky through Friday evening. Heavy rain is possible through Friday as a strong storm system moves through the mountains. Flash Flooding is likely during this time. Remember if you come across a flooded roadway to turn around and don't drown. Keep it with WYMT for the latest.
Another area dealing with some flooding is Harless Creek in Pike County.
Yesterday marked the two year anniversary since the last devastating flood there.
Several people there say when the creek started rising they were afraid it was going to be a repeat of that event.
They say once the water started rising it did not take long for it to get over the road and left many people fearing the worst, but they say thankfully the rain slowed and the water did recede.
Officials say no damage to homes was reported. There was some minor damage to the roads.
"In 20 minutes time our creek was a raging river again. It got up in our parking lots, got in the road, under my wife's beauty salon," said Bob Caudill.
Many of the people there say they are just now getting back to where they were before the last flood, and now they are afraid if it keeps raining they will be dealing with that all over again.
