Perry County goes purple for Relay For Life

PERRY Co., Ky. (WYMT) - Perry County is going purple for Relay For Life.

Friday afternoon Hazard Mayor, Nan Gorman signed a proclamation supporting the American Cancer Society.

"Paint Perry Purple" is June 2 through June 6. Organizers said it is a way to get folks excited for Relay For Life.

"We want to get everyone involved and this is one way to do it," said Perry County Relay For Life Co-Chair Bob Turner. "They can decorate their offices, their homes, their mailboxes to show that they are supporting he American Cancer Society and the Perry County Relay For Life."

Perry County's Relay For Life events begin June 7 at one o'clock in the Perry County park.
