Personal care home operator seeks to halt action against him

The former administrator of a troubled Letcher County personal care home is asking the Kentucky Court of Appeals to halt proceedings to liquidate and dissolve the corporation that formerly operated the home.

In June, a judge ordered a receiver be appointed to oversee operations at the Golden Years Rest Home in Jenkins.

The Lexington Herald reports Former Administrator James Tackett's attorney requested the court of appeals order an independent and neutral receiver.
