Several businesses in Letcher County are without phone lines after a copper theft.

The phone lines have been down for days and are still unusable.

Police say thieves cut two different lines for the copper.

Crews worked all day to make sure service is restored by tomorrow, but folks say that it's becoming an all too familiar theme and that each time it is their business that suffers.

“We have no business. No one can get through to make orders or to stay in the hotel they think we're not open anymore. It's really put a damper on us,” said Amanda Freeman, Parkway Inn Manager.

No arrests have been made in the case.
