Surveillance pictures are released of a robbery at a Harlan County grocery store.
On June 23rd, police say a man came into Kay's Grocery store and threatened the clerk before getting away with cash. There are no arrests yet.
Kay's Grocery owners say surveillance cameras got the robbery on tape. They released pictures to WYMT on Monday.
The pictures show a man wearing a mask come into the store and threaten the clerk.
"Told her to hang up the phone, and she thought he was just playing around. The second time when he told her to hang up the phone, he said, "or else" and waved his hand in his pocket. So she hung up the phone, and he asked for the money," said Joseph Letendre with Kay's Grocery.
Police say the robber got away with several hundred dollars cash.
Store owners say the outside surveillance camera caught the getaway. It shows the suspect getting into a a blue Toyota pick-up truck with tinted windows and stripes on the truck.
"We are still investigating any and all leads. We're still asking the public for information on the vehicle," said Trooper Shane Jacobs.
The store is on Route 221, just one mile from the Bell County line. The clerk said the robber drove off towards Bell County.
Police believe the suspect is still in the area.
"We feel confident it's in Bell or Harlan county, but we are urging the public to contact us if they have any new information on where the truck may be located. Obviously he probably knows we're looking for him, so we're just asking for some assistance in this case," said Trooper Jacobs.
Police say the suspect was about six feet tall, weighing 220 pounds, and he was wearing a black ski mask over his face and a bandana.
