After months of competition the Country Music Highway Road to Fame singing contest is over. Hundreds auditioned and only one man would come out on top.

His name is Logan Hall, a Pike County native following his dreams.

"I knew that someone like myself with kids and normal basic means of living, this was my chance to do something in front of people from Nashville that would know what the music industry was about," said Hall.

Hall says he grew up around music, and has always known it was what he wanted to do.

He is a father to four young children who say they couldn't be happier for their dad.

"I'm real excited. I didn't think it was going to happen. I'm real excited," said Hall's 8-year-old daughter Maggie.

Hundreds auditioned when the competition began in February, and it slowly dwindled down to the final 12 who competed Saturday night with the hopes of claiming the title.

"They call it competing, but they're all just such good people and such good talent. We just enjoyed each other, and I made a lot of friends," said Hall.

He says he is still somewhat in shock from the whole experience.

"It could have went any direction. Everybody just done so good, and I feel very blessed to be where I'm at right now," he said.

Hall says he will continue following his dreams to provide for his family.

"I love it. I've wanted to do it for as long as I can remember, and it's just a dream come true," he said.

As part of his prize Hall will begin a career development course with PCG Nashville next month.
