Pike County road to be closed for repairs

Raccoon Creek Road, KY 1441, will be closed on the Raccoon side of Pompey Mountain between mile points 5 and 6 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. for two to three days beginning Wednesday.

The reason for the road closure is so that a large rig can be set up to drill railroad steel at the site of an embankment failure.

Motorists can expect delays of 45 minutes or longer during work hours.

The road will re-open each evening when that day’s work is finished and close the next morning when work resumes.
