An eastern Kentucky woman was arrested because police say she was selling drugs near a school.

After a six month investigation ...Pineville police along with Operation UNITE officers arrested 58 year old Irene Allen Friday night.

Police say they found several prescription bottles in Allen's home that were not prescribed to her.

Allen says she takes pain pills for her back ...but she doesn't sell the drugs.
"I think it's just a big made up lie," said Allen.

Police say they found more than 15 bottles of pills.
Officers say they found Xanax and other medications that were not prescribed to Allen.
But Allen says police did not find anything.

"They went through every inch of my house... why didn't they find Xanax?" said Allen.

Police accuse Allen of selling drugs near the Pineville Independent School system.

"These drug dealers have no limits... they will sell to children and adults...it doesn't matter as long as they get money for it," said Kenny Shaw with Pineville Police.

Police say they are still in the process of sorting through all the pills that were taken from the home.
Officers hope every arrest will help curb the drug problem in the region.

"I think it's a growing problem around everywhere... we are keeping a close eye on it and trying to do all we can to help the community," said Shaw.

Allen was only behind bars for a few hours.
Her bond was set at five thousand dollars in cash.
She says it was reduced and she was released for one thousand dollars.
