PIKEVILLE, Ky.(WYMT) - A play aimed at targeting bullying in schools is now playing in Pikeville.
It is called "The Secret Life of Girls."
The show is based around a group of girls and shows the damage being bullied can take.
The Jenny Wiley Theatre in Pikeville showed the play to groups of girls from schools in the area.
Joan Spencer, the mother of a 16-year-old who killed himself after being bullied, talked to the group about bullying and what they can do in that situation.
"It's about making kindness the drug of choice instead of alcohol and drugs. It's about hope. It's about helping other people every day. That's what it stands for. And it's about them knowing that they have control and they have the power," said Spencer.
Show times are April 26-27 and May 3-4 at 7:30 p.m.
