Police: 2 dead, 2 injured in shooting in rural southern Kentucky

GREENSBURG, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky State Police are investigating a shooting that left two people dead and two others injured in a rural section of south-central Kentucky.

Police said the Moores still lived together, but the shooting occurred at a residence behind their home. Police believe Barry Moore followed his ex-wife to the residence, where the shootings occurred. Also shot were the owner of that home, 66-year-old Barbara Wright, and her granddaughter, 22-year-old Ashley Wright.

Gregory says the Moores' 11-year-old son was home but escaped unharmed.

University Hospital in Louisville said Ashley Wright was in critical condition and Barbara Wright was stable Friday night.

Police said Barry Moore died at Green County Hospital.
