VIENNA (AP) - Police say a man shot and killed two police officers and the driver of an emergency rescue vehicle in central Austria before barricading himself inside a farm building.

The dpa news agency reported Tuesday that a police SWAT team was on the scene after the overnight attack in Annaberg, about 115 kilometers (70 miles) southwest of Vienna.

Police say they don't yet know the name of the shooter nor what prompted the attack. It's also not known whether he is holding any hostages. Further details were not immediately available.
