Police make Knox County meth bust

KNOX COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - A man is behind bars tonight for a meth lab that deputies found inside his home.

31-year-old Brian Prewitt was arrested yesterday when Knox County Sheriff's deputies found a meth lab in his home.

An anonymous tip led police to the home in the community of Bryants Store.

Deputies say he was arrested without incident.

They found the lab and several meth making precursors in the home.

“Oh yeah, I mean I'm not saying that it happens all the time, and it actually slowed down for a bit. But it seems to be picking back up a little bit. It's not unusual,” said Knox County Deputy, Roy Gambrel.

Prewitt was charged with manufacturing meth...possession of a controlled substance and possession of meth precursors.
