WISE COUNTY, Va. (WYMT/Bristol Herald Courier) - We now know the name of the woman killed in a fire Monday in Wise County, Virginia.
We first told you about the blaze that killed 71 year old Atha Bare on Tuesday.
The Bristol Herald Courier reports the 100 year old home in Coeburn, was engulfed in flames and smoke when fire crews arrived on the scene early Monday morning.
Others, who were also in the home at the time, escaped without injury.
Bare's body has been sent to the state medical examiner's office.
Virginia State Police still do not know what caused the fire.
