WYMT Severe Weather Alert

More storms are firing up off to our west and will be moving in our general direction. Most should be below the severe threshold, but some could bring some strong wind and hail. We will be monitoring the system throughout the night and will update you as needed.

Police search for burglary suspect

HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - Police in Perry County are searching for a suspect who allegedly burglarized a fast food restaurant.

The Hazard Herald reports that late Monday night, someone pried the door open at the Hardee's on Highway 15 in Hazard and broke into the safe.

Officials say the suspect got away with an undetermined amount of cash.
