Police searching for crash bystanders

Tonight, police are asking for your help as they investigate a crash that badly injured two people.

We've been tracking the crash on New Circle Road, at Leestown, since early this morning.

Lexington police say they'd like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the crash, they say some bystanders left before they got a chance to talk to them.

Police say around midnight an SUV went off the road, up an embankment and flipped.

The driver, Richard Thompson III and his passenger were both taken to UK hospital.

At last check, police say the passenger was in critical condition.

We're told Thompson has been released from the hospital.

Police think alcohol may have played a role in the crash.
