Police searching for missing man in Mingo County, WV

WILLIAMSON, WVa. (WYMT/WSAZ) - Williamson Police and the Mingo County Sheriff's Office are asking for help in trying to find a man who has been missing for three weeks.

Williamson Police Chief Dave Rockel says Chad Roberts, 41, of Rawl, which is just outside Williamson, was last seen on January 3.

Chief Rockel says Roberts was last seen by friends, shortly before midnight, near the Harvey Street Bridge which crosses the Tug Fork River into Pike County.

Rockel says he had been drinking and riding an ATV with a friend when he got off the ATV because he was feeling sick. When his friend came back to pick him up, Roberts was gone.

Roberts is 5'8", 150lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information that can help locate Roberts is urged to call either the Mingo County Sheriff's Department at 304-235-0300 or the Williamson Police Department at 304-235-2570.
