Police tell us the man who claimed he was robbed at gun point outside of the Burger King in Manchester was actually lying.

Officials say Adam Wagers claimed he got attacked again Thursday morning.

That's when they became suspicious.

“We arrived and it was the same victim as Wednesday’s robbery at Burger King. Through our investigation we discovered that this call was a hoax and Wednesday’s call probably was a hoax too! He made it all up,” Manchester Assistant Chief Claude Davis said.

Wagers is being held in the Clay County Detention Center.

He is charged with two counts of falsely reporting an incident.
