A man faces several charges after investigators in Laurel County say he was high on drugs while caring for three mentally challenged adults.

A deputy with the Laurel County Sheriff's Office pulled over 19-year-old Dustin Howard Bice's van on U.S. 25 near London Wednesday night, after investigators say the deputy saw Brice driving in a careless manner.

Investigators say the deputy determined Bice was under the influence of drugs, and arrested him.

The sheriff's office says Bice had a bag of marijuana on him.

The sheriff's office says three mentally challenged adults were inside the SUV Bice was driving. They say Bice is an employee of a company that works with mentally challenged persons, and the three adults were in his care at the time.

Investigators say Bice had also left the three people alone inside the SUV while he visited a known drug dealer's home earlier in the day. Investigators say the three people were left unattended for at least 10 minutes.

The Laurel County Sheriff's Office charged Bice with three counts of wanton endangerment, driving under the influence of drugs, marijuana possession, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
