Police believe three robberies are connected

Updated: Fri 11:49 PM, Jul 15, 2011

There were three robberies in two days in Floyd County, and police believe they might be connected.

Police say the first happened late Wednesday at the Tiger Mart in Prestonsburg.

Surveillance video shows a man coming into the store, then going outside and putting on a bandana and coming back in to demand cash.

Police say the suspect got into a getaway car outside.

“He wasn't working alone. It was obvious to me in this video, that someone else was driving a vehicle, at least one person was in this vehicle because it stopped and picked him up,” Detective Steve Little said.

State police say there were robberies at stores in Minnie and Grethel not long after this one.

They are trying to figure out if it is the same person.

Police say the suspect in the Tiger Mart robbery is in his 20's or 30's, has tattoos on both arms, and was wearing a camouflaged cap with a breast cancer awareness symbol on it.
