A man is behind bars in Whitley County charged with manufacturing meth.
While on patrol, Kentucky State Police noticed a strong chemical odor coming from the open window of an apartment building on Kentucky 779 near Bear Branch Road in Rockholds.
Once inside, officers discovered a meth lab.
36-year old William Mays was arrested.
In addition to the meth charge, he is also facing wanton endangerment charges.
