Another band of snow will move into the region tonight. That plus temperatures into the lower 20s will create slick spots across the mountains. Additional accumulation of up to a half inch is possible in the valleys, while up to an additional inch is possible on the ridges. While significant snow is not expected, we have issued a Severe Weather Alert Day to keep you informed on possible negative impacts to travel through Tuesday afternoon.
From sister station WSAZ:
After several failed attempts to get money from a convenience store, a would-be robber walked away empty handed, but he was caught on tape.
West Virginia State Police say the Super Quick in Wayne County was robbed Monday night.
The store is located at the intersection of Route 75 and Walkers Branch Road in Kenova.
WVSP says the man walked into the store around 9:30 p.m., with a shirt over his face and asked the cashier to open the register.
They say the cashier refused, the suspect asked again and the cashier again refused.
The suspect finally walked out, with no money.
WVSP says the man was not alone, and that another man was waiting outside while the suspect walked inside and attempted to rob the convenience store. He was also caught on tape.
If you recognize him, call West Virginia State Police.
