Three people are now charged with severely beating a man and woman in a Prestonsburg parking lot two weeks ago.

Police are also releasing some new information about the investigation.

In early June, Prestonsburg police found blood all over the Jenny Wiley Liquor Store parking lot and a man and woman on the ground with severe injuries.

23 year old Johnni Watts and 30 year old Mark Horne both had to be hospitalized.

Police say one weapon was a baseball bat and they now believe they know who did it.

Police arrested 18 year old Tyler Thacker, 18 year old Ricky Justice, and a juvenile, whose name is not being released.

They are charged with first degree assault and unlawful transaction with a minor.

Police say this had nothing to do with drugs, but it goes back to threats made back and forth between some of those involved.

The case against the adults will be presented to a grand jury.

Police say all three suspects are free right now.

Both Horne and Watts are out of the hospital, but police say Horne still faces more surgery.

Police say no more arrests are expected.
