Police make first synthetic marijuana bust

Laurel County officials busted their first business Thursday for allegedly selling synthetic marijuana.

The Laurel County Sheriff's Office responded to a complaint at the 49 Fuel Center where they were allegedly selling the drug.

Officials say an undercover cop purchased a packet of the product and rolling papers.

143 packets of synthetic marijuana were confiscated by police and two people were charged with trafficking and possession of synthetic marijuana.
