Police say man lead them on two state chase

Police say a Pike County man robbed a pharmacy in Virginia and then led officers on a chase through Virginia and Kentucky.

Police say 35 year old Michael Bartley of Elkhorn City robbed a Westwood Pharmacy in Buchanan County, Virginia.

Investigators say he rammed a Buchanan County Deputy's cruiser when the officer tried to stop him.

The pursuit went down Rt. 604 in Virginia where deputies fired shots and hit a tire.

The chase went crossed into Kentucky on US-460 in Pike County where police say Bartley abandoned his car in Mouthcard and started running.

Kentucky State Police later found and arrested Bartley at the Motley Fork of Feds Creek.

Bartley is being held in the Pike County Detention Center on fleeing and evading and resisting arrest charges.

He faces robbery charges in Virginia.
