WYMT Severe Weather Alert

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for all of Southeastern Kentucky until 10pm tonight. The primary threats from this system will be strong winds and large hail. Isolated tornadic activity certainly can't be ruled out of the equation.

Police search for jail escapee

Police are still searching for a man who escaped from the Perry County Jail nearly one week ago while on work release.

33-year-old James Herald was cutting grass with about a dozen other inmates at the Perry County Park.

He was last seen making his getaway at the entrance of the park near Highway 15.
