An early morning 911 call leads more than a dozen police officers to a home in the Viper area of Perry County.
The 911 callers said a man forced their way into a home, they also said he had a weapon and fired shots.
There was also talk of a possible hostage situation.
Due to the serious allegations, the special response team was called in for assistance.
After more investigation, police decided the 911 call made the situation sound more serious than it really was.
"It's unfounded on where the shots were fired or where the individuals were held against their will," said Kentucky State Police spokesperson Tony Watts.
Police did not find the suspect and left the scene, but there is a warrant out for his arrest.
Police say they are not sure if any shots were actually fired.
