Police are searching the Wheelwright area of Floyd County for a man who hit a clerk and robbed a convenience store.
It happened at the Cardinal Country Store around 9:30 Monday night.
Surveillance video shows the man with a gun go behind the counter and hit the clerk.
He then searches the store for money and demands the clerk open the cash register.
Police say he got all of the cash and ran out of the store.
“We're actually canvassing the area, following up on my leads that come in. We're asking the public if they have any information involving who this person may be to relay it to local law enforcement,” Detective Jason Dials said.
The suspect is described as five feet five inches tall.
He was wearing a black mask, white or tan hoodie, camouflage pants and dark colored gloves.
Right now police do not think this is related to other recent robberies in Floyd County.
