It's one of the oldest cold cases in the files at the Kentucky State Police Post in Hazard.
30 years ago, a Knott County boy vanished, and no one has seen or heard from him since.
His mother still has hope that her son is alive and she will see him again.
Judy Moore will never forget February 12th, 1982 when her son vanished.
Her six-year-old son, Kelly Hollan, was playing outside.
"My neighbor hollered to go answer the phone. He was in the yard when I left, and when I came back he wasn't," said Moore.
At first, she just assumed he walked to a friends house, but she later learned he wasn't there.
"I walked all up and down the hollow, but couldn't find him," Moore said.
And still 30 years later, she has not seen or heard from her son.
"I want answers. I would love to know where my son is, to have him call and say, 'Hi mom!' How great that would be," Moore said.
Kentucky State Police say they have followed up on several leads through the years, but have found nothing.
Moore even asked police to go search the Pinetree Hollow area again, but on Thursday police investigations turned up empty.
Judy Moore says until proven otherwise, she will believe that her son is still alive.
