An inmate who allegedly assaulted a Perry County Deputy Jailer and escaped in a jail van is still on the run.

Letcher County inmate Stevie Wynn escaped on August 24th after a court hearing in Perry County.

He is now wanted on escape, assault, wanton endangerment and theft by unlawful taking charges. Police consider Wynn to be possibly armed and dangerous.

"The action that he took the day that he escaped we have to consider the fact that he'll be desperate to stay on the run,” Letcher County Jailer Don McCall said.

Officials ask anyone with information on Wynn's whereabouts to call Kentucky State Police or your local police department.
