Polling places changed in Bell County

PINEVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - Four Bell County fire departments will not be used as voting precincts for the upcoming election.

The election commission has decided to move polling places away from the closed fire departments.

Clear Creek is moving to the Clear Creek Bible College.

Brownies Creek is moving to Brownies Creek Missionary Baptist Church.

Colmar is moving to Graceway Missionary Baptist Church.

Calloway is most likely moving to Page School.

Officials say even if the fire departments re-open, the precincts will be in the new places.

“They're still moving no matter what because we don't know what's going to happen. We've got to make sure we have a place established to put the voting machines and place for the voters to vote,” Bell County Clerk Becky Blevins said.

The county clerk is sending a post card to all the voters affected telling them their new precinct location.
