Preacher facing felony charges in Florida

Florida - An anti-Islam preacher is facing felony charges in Florida.

Terry Jones and his associate pastor, Wayne Sapp Junior, were arrested on Wednesday night after they were pulled over towing a smoker.

Police say Jones was headed to a nearby park where he said he planned to burn over 200,000 copies of the Qu'ran.

There sheriff told him he was encouraged to exercise his first amendment rights, but warned him against burning the Qu'rans because he did not have a permit.

The sheriff said, "He was potentially driving a bomb down the road had there been a crash. We told him, if you come to Polk County and violate the law, you will go to jail."

Jones is a pastor of the Dove World Outreach Center in Florida. His church has staged Qur'an burnings in the past.
