The annual Ichthus Music Festival starts Wednesday.
Organizers say they will be 150 bands playing on seven stages.
The festival started in 1970 as an alternative to the Woodstock festival and typically attracts 20,000 plus people, mostly youth, from all over the United States.
It takes about 1,500 volunteers to put on the event, which is held in Wilmore in Jessamine County.
