President of Kentucky Equality Federation stepping down

The head of an organization who advocates for the rights of gay and lesbian people in Kentucky is stepping down.

The Lexington Herald Leader reports Jordan Palmer, president of the Kentucky Equality Federation will hand over the job to another member of the group Monday.

Palmer says he had to step down due to a life threatening medical condition.

Joshua Koch, the current vice president of policy and public relations, will take over as temporary president.
