President of volunteer fire department steps down

The Bell County Volunteer Fire Department President stepped down at Thursday night's special called meeting.

The Middlesboro Daily News says Roy Amburgey made this decision because he feels that he better represents the fire department as a board member than the president.

This move comes after the president and the fire department's board of directors closed two fire stations claiming a lack of funding.
