PRESTONSBURG, Ky. (WYMT) - Police are looking for a man they say robbed a Prestonsburg gas station with a knife Tuesday night.

Police say a man entered the Tiger Mart on US-23 and grabbed cash from both registers.

A clerk tried to call 911, but police say he took the phone and left with it too.

They say he is roughly 5'10" about 200 pounds with wavy dark blonde hair.

He was wearing a grey wool ski mask, hooded sweatshirt, and dark blue jeans.

The robber was last seen heading north on US-23.

"Some prices on things are going up, people are losing their jobs. Sometimes when that goes on people start getting desperate for money trying to I guess make ends meet," said Prestonsburg Detective Adam Dixon.

Anyone with information should contact the Prestonsburg Police Department.
